On Saturday, April 17th more than 73 volunteers joined San Antonio Fighting Back, Inc. and Keep San Antonio Beautiful for the Great American Clean-Up at the Barbara Jordan Community Center.  The event, sponsored by Lysol and Firestone, gave the Barbara Jordan Community Center and its surrounding area a face-lift.  Volunteers from San Antonio Fighting Back, Inc.; Keep San Antonio Beautiful; City Year and the community planted nine trees, gave away 41 trees to area neighborhood associations and churches, cleaned out nine empty lots, painted and cleaned area walls and much more.  To learn more about community clean-ups, please call San Antonio Fighting Back at (210) 271-7232.
