Before joining San Antonio Fighting Back in 1997, Ted Montelongo served as an AmeriCorps member for two years mentoring students at Truman Middle School.  During his second term with AmeriCorps, Mr. Montelongo became team learder of 10 AmeriCorps member. 

Prior to entering the community service arena, Mr. Montelongo worked as a machine operator at Gaylord Container Company for 29 years.  Throughout his career, he volunteered his time at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church as a member of the finance council and board member of the Wesley Community Center.

 
 

Now at the ripe old age of 68, Mr. Montelongo is doing he has always wanted to do, work with kids and make a difference in the community he lives and works in.
