and intervene effectively, in the abuse and/or spread of methamphetamine
in San Antonio. |

Inc. will implement strategies to expand prevention and interventions
that are effective, evidence-based and increase individual, family and
community protective factors.
The outcome is designed to decrease risk factors that eradicate and/or
minimize a growing "Meth problem" in San Antonio. |

San Antonio Fighting Back
offers parent and youth education services to schools in Bexar County to
deliver the message of Meth Awareness and Prevention. Some of the
activities and topics include: effective communication skills; helping
families cope with stress; home and school connection; dealing with
bullies and violence; and strategies that families can use to prevent
Meth and other drug abuse. |

Community
Education |
|
San Antonio Fighting Back
collaborates with community and faith-based organizations to educate the
public about Meth abuse. SAFB provides presentations at schools,
fairs, business brown bag lunches, neighborhoods, and community
organizations. |

Bexar County
Drug Court |
|
San Antonio Fighting Back
uses a holistic approach to connect families and offenders experiencing
Meth abuse through a collaboration with Bexar County drug courts Access
To Recovery Program (ATR). The ATR program provides a variety of
services such as treatment, recovery support services, spiritual based
support activities, counseling, and transitional housing. |

offers programs designed to help parents and young adults complete court
ordered obligations. These programs include: Youth Development;
Anger Management; Life Skills & Drug Awareness/Prevention; Parent
Education; Counseling (Individual or Family); and Community Service.
